Wahoos for Sustainability (WFS) is a grassroots movement of alumni, students, faculty, and staff who care deeply about the University of Virginia and are committed to sustainability. Grey McLean (COL ‘95), along with Sandy Reisky (Comm ’88) and Will Musser (COL '95), launched the movement in 2016. WFS quickly grew, attracting a diverse set of students, faculty, and alumni. Unified by a passion for sustainability and UVA’s role in it, WFS membership spans six decades of students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Many members are also sustainability professionals, working in a wide range of fields: clean energy entrepreneurs, impact investors, clean energy and energy efficiency financiers, environmental lawyers, public relations and marketing professionals, environmental non-profit executives and scientists, foundation leaders, sustainable designers and architects, environmental policy and advocacy professionals, building engineers, and environmental scientists. Be a part of WFS — join us in supporting UVA’s new climate goals and urging the University forward!
